A 24-year-old male is facing charges after attempting to flee a traffic stop with a loaded handgun. 

On Wednesday, July 12, 2023, at approximately 7:50 p.m., members of West Division were proactively patrolling the area of Westney Road and Rossland Road, in Ajax. Officers came across a vehicle with no working brake lights and conducted a traffic stop. Upon further investigation, a search of the vehicle and its occupants conducted. A male passenger attempted to flee on foot from the traffic stop and was found to be in possession of a loaded firearm.

Maceo SENIOR, age 24, of Ajax is facing four charges, including Possess Loaded Regulated Firearm and Occupy Motor Vehicle with Firearm.

 He was held for a bail hearing.
